Bias Power designs and manufactures state-of-the-art low-wattage AC to DC power supplies for a wide variety of applications.
Based on a patented design, these miniature switching power supplies offer a simple path to Energy Star standby power, low-power AC-DC or special AC-DC power needs. Global-market ready, each complies with UL, CSA, VDE and other requirements, and meet or exceed "green" efficiency standards. No external EMI filters are required.
Applications for Bias Power supplies are widespread, including powering remote and networked sensors, power-line carrier, remote meter reading, relay drivers, test equipment, IR receivers, building automation, audio, video, security, AC power adapters and bias supplies. They are exceptionally well suited for standby mode applications in instrumentation, appliances and consumer electronics, providing power to system clocks, processors, IR remote receivers, membrane keypads and LED panel lighting.
A growing applications is as a power source for lighting control and even power for LED room illumination and exterior lighting. Also closely related are applications in home automation control.
Bias continues to refine its technology and to expand the product line to handle an even broader range of applications. Our design lends itself well to economies of scale, so that as we work with larger volume customers, all of our customers benefit.
Most OEM customers wouldn't think of designing and building their own 250 or 500 watt power supply, but many start "re-inventing the wheel" at low power levels.
